You are invited to join me in my Lake Forest Park studio for small, hands-on encaustic art classes designed for adults and kids ages 12+.
My classes are relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of individual guidance but no expectation that everyone make the same thing. You’ll explore encaustic painting techniques, experiment with beautiful materials, and follow your own creative ideas.

Encaustic Painting for Adults & Teens/Pre-Teens Grades 6-12
Explore the magic of encaustic painting in this hands-on introductory class for adults. You’ll learn how to work with warm beeswax, resin, pigment, texture, and heat as you build layered, luminous artwork. No painting experience is needed. I’ll guide you step by step while leaving plenty of room to experiment, play, and follow your creative instincts. All materials are provided in my Lake Forest Park home studio. We will aim to create three pieces during our time together. (Limited to 6 participants in the adult class, 4 participants in the Teen/Pre-Teen class - $100 includes registration & supplies)

Encaustic Collage for Adults & Teens/Pre-Teens Grades 6-12
Explore the layered possibilities of encaustic collage in this hands-on class. You’ll learn how to combine paper, imagery, texture, pigment, and warm beeswax to create layered artwork with depth and dimension. No prior encaustic or collage experience is needed. I’ll guide you through techniques for embedding materials into wax while leaving plenty of room to experiment and play. All materials are provided in my Lake Forest Park home studio. We will aim to create three pieces. (Limited to 6 participants in the adult class, 4 participants in the Teen/Pre-Teen class - $100 includes registration & supplies)

Ghosts & Fairies: Mystical Collage & Encaustics for Adults & Teens/Pre-Teens Grades 6-12
Step into a world of mystery and a little bit of magic. In this hands-on encaustic collage class, you’ll combine vintage and found imagery, texture, pigment, and warm beeswax to create ethereal artwork inspired by ghosts, fairies, and the fantastical. I’ll guide you through techniques for layering and embedding imagery in wax while leaving plenty of room to experiment. No encaustic or collage experience needed. All materials are provided. We'll aim to create two pieces. (Limited to 6 participants in the adult class, 4 participants in the Teen/Pre-Teen class - $100 includes registration & supplies)

Snowy Day Encaustic Ornaments for Adults & Teens/Pre-Teens Grades 6-12
Celebrate the season with an encaustic painting session inspired by snowy days. During this class, we'll make one-of-a-kind ornaments using warm beeswax, pigment, texture, paper, and other mixed-media materials. No encaustic experience is needed. I’ll demonstrate techniques and guide you step by step. All materials are provided in my Lake Forest Park home studio. You’ll leave with 4 finished ornaments ready to hang or give as gifts. (Limited to 6 participants in the adult class, 4 participants in the Teen/Pre-Teen class - $100 includes registration & supplies)

2027 Aspirations Encaustic Collage for Adults & Teens/Pre-Teens Grades 6-12
Create your vision for the year ahead through encaustic collage. In this hands-on class, you’ll use imagery, words, paper, texture, pigment, and warm beeswax to create layered artwork inspired by what you want to welcome in 2027. Think of it as part collage, part creative intention-setting, and entirely your own. No experience needed. I’ll guide you through the techniques while leaving plenty of room for experimentation. All materials provided. Limit 6 participants. (Limited to 6 participants in the adult class, 4 participants in the Teen/Pre-Teen class - $100 includes registration & supplies)
