7” x 7” framed in neutral wood | Encaustic on wood panel
Look How Far is part of Here Goes Something, a series of small encaustic paintings about hope, possibility, and the power of small steps. Delicate ladders reach into expansive blue skies, weaving through clouds and layers of textured beeswax. Each rung represents a little progress, a little courage, and the choice to keep moving forward. Because taking one small step isn't nothing. It's something.
In Look How Far, delicate ladder lines rise through a textured, ever-changing sky. The contrast between these small marks and the expansive clouds invites a shift in perspective. We spend so much time looking toward what's next that we sometimes forget to appreciate the distance we've already traveled. This little painting is an invitation to pause, look back, and give yourself some credit.
