7” x 7” framed in neutral wood | Encaustic on Wood Panel
Onward, Anyway is part of Here Goes Something, a series of small encaustic paintings about hope, possibility, and the power of small steps. Delicate ladders reach into expansive blue skies, weaving through clouds and layers of textured beeswax. Each rung represents a little progress, a little courage, and the choice to keep moving forward. Because taking one small step isn't nothing. It's something.
In Onward, Anyway, slender ladder lines reach through shifting clouds and layers of richly textured wax. The path upward isn't necessarily straight, and the destination isn't entirely clear. But that's rather the point. This small painting celebrates the decision to keep going, even when things feel uncertain or the next step seems impossibly small. A little determination, a little optimism, and a reminder that showing up counts.
