Summer Parade at Edmonds Beach is an original encaustic collage inspired by a summer day on the Edmonds waterfront, watching the Kingston ferry move across the Sound. Using original photography layered with beeswax, pigment, and collage techniques, the piece brings together a familiar Northwest scene with a playful, dreamlike sense of movement as small figures make their way along the beach like an accidental procession and the ferry passes in the distance beneath an expansive sky.
